Use this tool for probe sonication workflows such as cell disruption, homogenization, nanoparticle or polymer dispersion, mixing, and sample preparation. Fisher Scientific sonic dismembrators transmit ultrasonic energy through a titanium probe to create cavitation, and 500-watt class systems are commonly used for sample volumes from roughly 0.5 to 500 mL depending on probe choice.

This sample-preparation system is staff-operated and fee-for-service only; it is not available for normal user training or self-serve booking. Users submit an idea, protocol need, or existing sample-preparation request, and staff review compatibility, quote the job, and perform the work.
Machine shop jobs must be submitted through the job request form so the work can be reviewed and added to the Kanban queue.
